SOC Architect

We are looking for an SOC architect with hands-on design and development expertise for our fast-paced design and development team. As a key member of the ASIC development team, you will be responsible for working from the micro-architecture level through all stages of development of different functional blocks and verification at the top-level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define top level architecture as well as micro architecture for detailed implementation of low-power ASIC for IOT applications

• RTL development including verilog code development, define and run verification, build test benches for self-checking verification, modeling of IP to verify RTL functionality vs. requirements

• Manage and run internal design reviews to ensure adherence to the company’s ASIC design process and methodology in addition to reviews with 3rd party vendors to make sure requirements are being met and risks and opportunities are properly identified and addressed

• Support lab evaluations and debug activities including board level using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.

• Work with the software team to implement changes required by the driver

• Modify the design for future enhancements to the chip’s feature set

• Assess overall chip power save modes versus external system requirement

• Evaluating system-level performance in simulation, in FPGA emulation platform, and in ASIC

Skills/Experience:

• Experience with complete ASIC and FPGA flows involving timing closure of high speed digital design using scripting languages and design automation. Well versed in front-end design, simulation, and verification CAD tools.

• Deep knowledge of FPGA implementation and tools

• Experience in state of the art tools and flows including verification, synthesis and timing closure

• Proven track record of successful silicon delivery into volume production

• Microcontroller based design and development experience is a strong plus

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. MSEE is a plus

• 8+ years relevant FPGA/ASIC engineering design and verification experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Result-oriented, resourceful and tolerant of ambiguity

• Excellent follow-through, motivation, and persistence

• Demonstrated strong technical judgment and decision-making abilities

• Mixed-signals design experience a plus

• Prior experience working with 3rd-party vendors a plus

• Knowledge of digital board design and signal integrity principles is a plus
